National DCP Announces Corporate Office Opening in Gwinnett County

Expansion to add 125 new jobs in metro Atlanta

(GWINNETT- METRO ATLANTA) May 31, 2013 – National DCP, LLC (NDCP) joined with Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development to announce the opening of its new corporate office in Gwinnett County, metro Atlanta, Georgia today. The exclusive sourcing, purchasing, and distribution partner for Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants, NDCP will open its corporate office in August 2013, creating more than 125 full-time administrative functions at the Duluth area location.

“After the successful merger of five different operating companies across the U.S. in 2012, we are opening this new office to better serve our customers, the Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees,” said Scott Carter, National DCP Chief Executive Officer. “Dunkin’ Donuts has announced its plans to double in size with significant growth occurring primarily in the South, Southwest and West. In support of the rapidly expanding Dunkin’ chain, we decided that the Company’s headquarters needed to be located in a more geographically central location, and after a great deal of study, we chose Gwinnett County, metro Atlanta.”

Chris Cummiskey, Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development said, “It’s not surprising that an industry leader such as National DCP would gravitate towards a centrally-located, logistics-oriented state like Georgia for its corporate office location. We have workers well-qualified for these 125 new jobs and many other resources that help logistics-focused companies thrive.”

Approximately half of the 135 administrative positions currently located in the Bellingham, MA corporate offices will be given the opportunity to relocate to Gwinnett County or remain locally. More than 1,100 NDCP employees, including those who work on the operations side of the 35 distribution centers and hubs across the country, will not be affected by the move, as they will continue to play a key role in the distribution of products to Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide.

“This Gwinnett County location was chosen after researching multiple communities and sites. Gwinnett Economic Development and the state of Georgia have been extremely helpful in providing relocation assistance, resources, and training,” said Leo Taylor, National DCP Chief Administration Officer.
