Georgia Pathways: Assistance for Employees & Families Moving to Gwinnett
The Georgia Pathways Program enables relocating families to successfully transition into Gwinnett County. Through meetings with representatives from the Gwinnett County Public School System, local real estate professionals and the Gwinnett Chamber, families become informed about the community. Georgia Pathways’ services also include the matching of area residents as hosts to new families. The program is designed to be an expedient connection for spouses, partners and families to the community and is a valuable incentive to offer employees’ families as they seek to smoothly relocate to Gwinnett County.
Georgia Pathways focuses on two core areas:
1. Work: Job Placement, Networking, Associations and Recruitment Resources
- Career Transitioning: Job placement assistance into the Georgia marketplace
- Civic/Community/Trade Association: Introductions to key stakeholder groups with similar career interests and trajectory
- University/Post-Graduate: Referrals to key universities that offer post-graduate degree transference within Georgia’s University System
2. Life/Balance: Providing families with education and extracurricular support
- Education: Guidance, tours and introductions to Gwinnett County Schools from K-12
- Afterschool: Recommendations for youth/teen afterschool programs and organizations
- Family Activities: Brochures for local attractions and entertainment
